Difference between two Alliance fuel filters

Ok, got to thinking (I know, I know...bad idea) about this some more last night and one thing I forgot to mention is that the 50419 filter that I reference to....is in fact the original filter that Tiffin/Freightliner/Cummins put on the coach from the factory.
Seems to me that I should follow the factory equipment rather than changing.
Twomed provided a link to WIX filters and the Allied filter I mentioned above does indeed cross reference to the WIX WF10059 filter that is listed as a 3 micron. However, the NAPA cross reference filter is a 9 micron filter.
So which cross reference is the exact duplicate of the ABP/N122-R50419 Allied filter?
This is making my brain hurt.
