Your statement that you are 500 lbs under the tire rating and so under the RGAWR with a 250 Diesel truck and a trailer weighing about 12,500 lbs (pin weight 18.5% =2,300 plus 200 for the hitch=2,500 lbs) is "not likely" (to put it kindly) IMO.
Blowing tires with that much weight added to a 250 Diesel OTOH is not mysterious at all!
To refute that, and prove I am out to lunch, please provide some actual weights and specs for that truck--actual wt on scales, GVWR, 4wd?, and that trailer. Thanks.
