I have an R22 DVR that I keep in the trailer at all times. It's connected to my HD SWM dish while at home and records all the same programming I record on my Genie in the house. When I get to a campground, I set up my portable dish, set up the DVR for SD programming and I have both recorded TV and live TV. DirecTV charges me $5 a month for the extra DVR. They know where the receiver is and that it stays in the trailer. Just ask them for a standard receiver.
