Quality of connectors, and even the valves can make a big difference in eaze of operation. Ever since I had to replace the grey tank, and every bit of plumbing, including the hose and the fiberglass box that contained it all, (it was all left on the freeway because of a rear dual blowout) and replaced it all w/ genuine name brand stuff from the local "Kamper Korner" here, I have never had such smooth operating valves, and eazy on/off hose connections. Quality of parts makes a big difference.
But if you have a problem, a can of silicone spray can be your best friend.
