- buylow12ExplorerA bad main board in 6 months nice.... They better send the part or the whole thing will go back on the warranty on my credit card. I can install it but what a waste of my time, obviously they're not going to pay someone else to install it. That would make too much sense.

- If it is sparking when on Electric, then the Main control Board is bad. I doubt Dometic will send you a replacement part. They will require you to go thru an Authorized Service Center. Doug
- Nv_GuyExplorer IIIHad one do this exact same thing (spark while on electric) it was a bad main board.
- buylow12ExplorerI'm sure there is, I plan to contact them as soon as I can. I have a 17 month old I have to watch for the next three days while my wife works, which won't make that very easy to get done but I **** well expect it. That just came up with a Google search and I noticed that in the reviews that someone else had the same problem and fixed it by replacing it with a new one.
I'm sure Dometic will send one out but it's a real hassle between diagnosing, replacing, and testing, I'll have wasted a few hours on a brand new fridge. Doesn't inspire confidence..... Maybe next RV will have something else in it. They're just so **** common. If rather have a battery powered one line they use on sailboats personally. - BFL13Explorer IIThe Dometic fridge we have has a "board" with blade terminals up one side and wires attached to each. Also plug ins with wire sets from the fridge's control panel. Check your schematic to see if the wires are on the correct terminals. You could have its "signals crossed".
If the wires are crossed in the plug-ins, then a new board won't help.

No warranty at 6 months? - buylow12ExplorerThe flame is a nice steady blue and it still sparks over and over. It does the same thing on electric. I can literally see the spark each time now that it's dark and on electric. I'm sure it's sparking when on gas too but it's hard to see through the nice perfect blue flame. It's 6 months old...
I'm guessing the thing that causes the sparking is broken. I saw it for sale on Amazon and someone even mentioned it stopped theirs from doing the same thing.

If flame stays steady, and you hear the "sparking", then it might be something else making the noise. Yes, there should be no sparking unless you select gas mode. Weird if on AC. - buylow12ExplorerNow that it's dark, when I have it on electric, I can see it sparking over and over again. It does it at a steady rate like once a second or so.
- buylow12ExplorerDSI or whatever you want to call it..... Either way that has to be it as I can hear it like charge up and then make the sparking noise. I got to where I could see the flame and it's a nice blue, the thing is that it was doing it while on electric too. There shouldn't be much rust considering it is 6 months old.
I have noticed that it seems to do it on and off. A few hours snapping away and a little while working properly. It's dark now so I'm going to have to disassemble it more later. Great product..... 6 months old...... My last one,the exact same model, lasted 15 years with almost no problems.
