I had a similar problem and it took four attempts and two units over two years to get it right. Most of the time if the fridge vents through the roof there isn't a problem. Mine was in a slide out and vented out the side via a top vent. It took the installation of fans pulling the air out at the top vent and a curved baffle at the top of the chase to prevent hot air from accumulating at the top of the chase. Not a pleasant experience. Glad your was finally solved.
