Dometic Awning Part Numbers and Changing out Arms

For some reason when our Coachmen was built they put "basement" hardware (part number 8951001.400B) on. This means we don't have the ability to adjust for rain and the angle drops so much the door rai...

here is what the issue is. I took another run at Dometic support (sent them this pick)and they said that awning should not have been used. They recommended the standard hardware. The basement hardware requires 12" above door.
