Dometic awning squeal
New Sunseeker class c with a model 9100 electric awning. When retracting there is a loud squealing sound from the non motor side. Any ideas?

- Odds are it is the Strut Spring that pushes the arm out. Dometic will replace under warranty. Doug

- For me then.
Silicone spray all the joints in both awnings. Best guess. - No awning cover.
- My aluminum awning cover will creep toward the front end. That gets it out of alignment and that causes friction and squealing. Try getting on the roof with a rubber mallet and tapping awning cover back if yours has crept forward.
- oil it.
