Dometic fridge not wanting to run off propane

How old is your refer? I noticed when my burner tube stared rusting, the slots in the burner became bigger and would do the same thing. If you have removed it and cleaned all the rust particles out check the slots to see if they got bigger. I had this problem for a while adjusting, cleaning and finally replacing the thermocouple did not help. The new burner tube fixed the problem. Just another thing to check.

Yes, if the flame is large enough, it's probably the thermocouple. Did you sand paper it clean?

Yes I cleaned it to what I think is pretty good. It will stay lit for several hours before going into check mode and killing the flame. I'm guessing it must have sum thing to do with the thermo couple switch. Maybe it's getting to hot? Isn't that one of the only things that would kill the flame after being on for that long. Today it probably burned for at least 6 hours before going out. Then I turned it off and on and it re lit without issue, but only burned for maybe 20 mins or so. That's what had me thinking maybe sumthing is getting to hot and tripping it. Hey it's doing a lot better then it was just few days ago to say the least and when running for several hours it seems to be cooling just fine.

Hard to say. Did you clean the orifice tip? It's probably pretty small and sometimes cleaned by soaking it in alcohol.

Okay after taking it apart and putting it back together several times, I have gotten it to run for a good while. It will sometimes still after few hours go into check mode and kill flame. I'm gonna take it apart one more time and clean everything really good and go from there. I'm not sure why it's going in check mode after few hours, as it seems to be cooling fine in those few hours. Any insight on that? Y'all have been great, don't know how we ever got by without the internet!

Appears to have a thermocouple. If so it will look like about a 1/4 inch in diameter probe that sticks out into the flame. It should have a very thin tube going back to the control valve. 2 things need to be right. The thermocouple end should be clean, it can be cleaned with some fine emery cloth or small wire brush. The pilot orifice must be clean. It has to produce a flame that is large enough to keep the thermocouple hot or the supply valve will think that the flame has gone out and shuts down gas flow.

You may be ale to hear the flame and it may look rather large but that's what is needed to keep the thermocouple hot and make the frig work. If it's just a tiny little flame, the orifice is plugged. It's common for spiders and mud dabbers to plug stuff up.

Did you find the model number? Some may use a miliviolt style ignitor/sensor and some may use a traditional thermocouple style sensor.
First, is you battery at least 12 volts right now and are you sure the tank has enough fuel? I have had weird issues with different tanks before. Try another tank or try running all the burners on the stove at one time. Be sure it has a good fuel supply before moving on.

The thermocouple (Flame sensor) may also be the spark "Probe" should be cleaned, All connections between the burner and control board double checked,

If all good,,, Visit the dinosaur boards web site (Just add the obvious and delete the space) and see if they have a replacement for you.

Those videos helped a lot! Okay now I can get it to burn for few minutes, then it will cut the flame and go into check mode. Any clues as to what to look at next?
