Dometic Heating Element DM2652

Hi:

My heating element needs to be replaced, however all of the research I have done seemingly points to a TAB that is pressed and turned in order to remove the old heating element from the tube. It doesnt seem like I have that tab. In my flue, there is a metal piece that is in there where the element goes through, but does not seem like an easy way to remove it in order to get the old element out.

Anyone have any experience in removing a element from this fridge? its a 2010 model.

THanks!

Mike

  • The tab you are referring to is probably part of the sheet metal wrap. When you get to the element removal, spray a little WD40 on it and twist back and forth to loosen it and it should slide out. I had a real fight removing mine till I used the WD.
