It is obvious you have never used an absorption refrigerator when the outdoor temperature is below 35°F.
It is absolutely necessary to keep the temperature in the rear of the refrigerator above 35°. If that means blocking vent holes, you block vent holes.
I have 34 years as an RV Tech and am Master Certified and have extensive refer factory training from both Norcold and Dometic and have had extensive consultations with both as it regards sub 32 degree operation. You have no idea what you are talking about. PERIOD. Doug
