Dometic RM1350 issue

Our Alpine has a Dometic RM1350 side by side refrigerator. I noticed a few times last year that the temperature would slowly climb up to above 50. I checked everything I could think of switching to gas and electric. Then it would cool down normally and work great. The problem happened again a few weeks ago and I called my dealer to schedule an appointment. I explained everything to the service advisor and she took lots of notes. A few days later she called and said they found the problem. The service tech turned on the unit and of course it worked perfectly. He checked inside and outside. It was then that he noticed the unit starting to warm up. What he found was on the left hand door is a flap that when closed flips over and allows the right hand door to seal against the flap. Sometimes when the left door closes the flap would not completely flip over leaving a gap for the cold air to escape. The dealer contacted Dometic and they are aware of this problem. They are sending a repair part and paying for the install. For now when I close the left door I make sure the flap is in the right position before closing the right. Thanks to CW at Woodvillage, OR.
