Been fulltiming for 9 yrs and been using the white drinking water hose that most of us use. What a pain!! Just try to roll it up to store away. You know the problem.. Tried the type hose that extends with the psi of the water and then shrinks after the water is turned off. Worked well until blow out in a month. You guys got any suggestions for Drinking water hose?

I have a dedicated plastic tub container, with a lid, for my hose and filter. I gave up on neatness a long time ago.

I bought a Flexzilla hose. kinda lime green. called the co and they say it is NSF approved for potable water. Really light weight and not too hard to roll up but it will not kink under pressure whereas the white hose was always kinking. Next time i go camping at a full hook up i'm leaving the white hose and let someont think they are a lucky so and so.

Buy a Coil and Wrap attachment for your white hose and keep using it. This makes the handling of the hose very easy and simple to store.You can use any hose you like but it must be rated as a drinking water hose. I could easily be mistaken but I did not understand that the shrinky hose was.

I cut mine some where between 12 and 20'. You know about this long. Then I put new couplers on. I now have two hose's, a long and a short. I use the short most of the time but still have options. A lot less pain to roll up either.

sure. I have two 10-ft lengths of white drinking water hose and another 25-ft length on a hand-held reel. 8 times outta 10 I can hook up to the fresh water spigot with a single 10-ft length. if that's not enough then I add the second 10-ft length. only rarely do I need the 25-ft reel. but when I do the hose rolls up quite easily on the reel.

basically what I do. did buy a long non-kink hose also.

You can avoid the mess and the kinking of both hoses and cables by using this method.

The RV Water Filter Store is the go to place for everything concerning hooking up to water. They have the Watts pressure regulators as well a some great hoses that will last and work like you want them to. Under the Systems and Components menu on the left side you will find the link for Custom Quality Hoses. Their hoses are not cheap but are worth the money in the end.

We don't seem to have problems with our white hose. Maybe you need a new one that is higher quality??? Don't know what you had but there are different grades of hoses.

Harvard - I have seen proof of what you said. I bought a new white hose for our supply line and a new green garden hose to connect to the black water flush. The green one totally rotted in the Florida sun after two snowbird seasons. The white hose is as good as new, and it is under constant pressure while the green one was only used once a week.

One reason for the hose needing to be white is so as not to get hot while lying in the sun. Hot water in a non white hose has been known to destroy the inlet check valve and or burst from the heat and pressure.
