One thing I learned,.....probably 45 yrs ago, you never ever let a "pile" form beneath the turlet !! You do whatever it takes to break it up before it becomes a real problem. For me it is as simple as keeping a stainless steel rod, 3/16 x 3ft long, w handle bent 180 on one end standing in the corner by the turlet.
Conserving water while dry camping on a black tank, are not real compatable, but if done correctly, there is seldom if ever a problem.
I always feel for the nubi who get turned loose w/ a new RV and head out dry camping for a week, and are led to believe that they can live exactly like they do at "home". Its only because of forums like this that you learn the reality of it all, and that taking just a few "very important" precautions, it really can be near to same living at home.
