I have tried to follow doug's advice but when I responded with my findings as he instructed he did not make another suggestion after 3 days of waiting. I also realize that this is just a voluntary place not his responsibility but hoped to get an answer to find the problem.
I have now gotten into the breaker box for 120V and did a continunity check on the both of the A/C and main breakers and all is well there. How can I determine why the A/C upstairs is not getting power if it has incoming voltage and the rear working box doesn't improve the function when moved there?
If you read all of the suggestions that have been made here I would think the fault could have been found.
I do not know your expertise on using and finding the correct wires with a Multimeter. You have the Yellow Romex FEEDING the AC control box. You then have 3 wire nuts connected to the control box 120 wires(Black/White/Green). From those wire nuts the Black and White go to the control board. There will be 2 or 3 white neutral wires on another crimp nut and one wire goes to the control board. The BLACK goes to that relay with the BLUE wire. I want a voltage reading at that BLACK wire and the White wire connections. Also, there is a 6 pin white quick connect that feeds the 120 wires up to the Fan and Compressor. Is that tight with no loose pins. Do all the wires where the Capacitors are mounted all good and tight with no burnt connections? Doug
