Looking to put a queen size electric blanket in my 5er and run off my 300W GoPower pure-sine inverter. I haven't been able to find any electrical specs from manufacturers (such as Sunbeam) of these things. Anyone know what kind of wattage they require?I don't care to use a 12V blanket as I would like to also use it in my house when not in the trailer

according to google "electric blanket wattage", it's < 100.

Please NOTE aLot of the electric blanket controller DON'T LIKE MSW Inverters... I had one go up in blue smoke and I didn't even have it plugged in yet haha.. I had the cord in one hand and was fixing to plug it into my then el'cheapo MSW INVERTER and it went up in blue smoke before I plugged it in. I guess the controller knew what going to happen haha... It seemed like it did anyway...Of course there are others on here that says their controller works just fine - go figure...We run a couple of the 12VDC lap blankets all the time in our OFF-ROAD setup... Great for sitting around watching HDTV before we hit the sack. Then when we go to bed it works out pretty good to just put them under the top covers on a low setting...Roy Ken

Added weight?? This blanket weighs no more than any other blanket I own.

I don't think this blanket is going to find its way to our trailer anytime soon. Wife and kids fell in love with it last night on the sofa watching a movie. My dog even curled up on one of the corners.

The truck delivered my Sleep Designs Thinsulate level 3 comforter at 4PM. 0.000 watts. Picky picky. Don't like the added weight of an electric blanket (here in Baja California) and long ago I tried a mattress pad and it seemed to over heat the pressure points. Have they "improved" the design or performance in the last 20-years?

Picked up a Sunbeam queen. Opened it up and each controller was labeled 360W! and had me a little worried...With both controllers on HIGH it cycles between 100-130W on my KILL-A-WATT meter so all is good. Bottom line the wattage rating on the controller is not an accurate indication.

Our queen size electric blanket, which is made like 2 blankets side by side, says 180 watts on each controller. I take it to mean 360 watts total. That's probably only on high (?)
