As other posters have indicated, extra capacity is not a bad thing. I caution that you should measure the diameter of the existing unit to make certain that whatever unit you purchase will properly fit the opening in the trailer frame. If I remember correctly, the larger capacity jack is larger in diameter and may not fit the current opening in the trailer frame.
