Electrical gremlins, need pointed in general direction

My business partner just purchased his first RV, a 2005 Monaco Knight DP with 15,000 miles on it. I get to help keep custody of said RV, use it when he's not and work on fixing and keeping it running...

Looks like two batteries hooked pso to pos, neg to neg, the other two batteries hooked up pos to pos, neg to neg and then black cable from negative side of one pair and red cable from positive side of the other pair go to house. When I put DOM on that pos and neg post, reads 0.05v



Doesn't make any sense to me...is one of the cable ends real loose possibly or is it just connected wrong?
