This is out of the range of thermal and electrical science. As the OP has stated, it's more about the ease and choice of different coffee styles, all packaged into a machine that is easy to operate. I wouldn't own one but that doesn't mean others can't. I think the Keurig makers are too inefficient, electrically, for trailer use. Besides, my blood pressure is high enough without paying $1/cup while making my own Joe. 'Nuff said there.
Is the main circuit breaker (30 amp) on the negative phase battery cable? If not, there has to be sufficient current in the circuit to which it protects for it to trip.
