It depends on two things... If the slide is direct to the battery and it is NOT polarity reversed then yes it will work just fine since it has its own fuse and such.
Second.. depending on how the slide controls work (Electronic or mechanical switch) if it is a simple SPDT center off reversing switch. THE SLIDE will work only OUT and IN on the switch... Reversed.
