  • As Grit_dog said, you have no AC power. All those working things are DC powered. And all of the other responses are nonsensical. The adapter (aka Dog Bone) used to connect 50 to 30 amp splits the incoming single 30 amp power leg  into two legs which feed both sides of the circuit breaker panel. Granted it isn't a full 100 amps (50 amp on each leg x two legs), but  enough to run all the devices (just not all at the same time).

The manufacturers, the infamous Old World's Craftsmen, are not concerned about wiring the "important" circuits to one side of the power panel. They put them wherever they want avoiding an obvious power demand overload on one leg (i.e. 2 A/Cs, electric water heater, and microwave would be a no-no).

  • A 30 amp plug has one hot or power wire that feeds electricity for the entire 5th wheel. A 50 amp plug has two hot or power wires that feed the 5th wheel.

So based on what you are saying the RV designers wired what they considered the basics to the one wire that would have power if you had to use a 30 amp adapter cord at the campground. You will still be able to operate the slides and have hot water. Again just what the designers considered the basics.

The missing second wire is what powers all the rest of the comfort items in the coach like the AC, microwave, television etc. Once you get back to a 50 amp hookup the rest of the 5th wheel systems will come back to life.

  • That was basically jibberish. But you don’t have any AC power currently, no pun intended.  At least according to your post.

  • 30 amp proivides one 120v line. 50 amp privides two 120v lines. You normally have two going in and only have one now.
