Some years ago now, not far from here, someone who owned property that TVA high voltage transmission lines on those big towers had a fence to keep livestock in.
He stung wire(s) on the fence posts parallel to the towers, and to transformer on his home for power. TVA sued him for stealing power. They lost.
In distant past I've seen Hunters string up wires around these power lines and run lights and such in their camps from it.
I've even seen Christmas lights strung between the towers, this and the other near the base of course and light them that way. Just electrical science for school kids I suppose.
Don't know of any campgrounds near high voltage lines though.
