I'm guessing your ECU is located somewhere too inconvenient for you to do the task?
I think you need to find a suitable canididate down there who has a steady hand and a good brain to assist you accomplish the tasks you need to accomplish, and teach him or her a trade at the same time.
My main memory of a Mexican working on something electric, was a guy hammering a bottle cap inbetween battery clamp and post with his girlfriend's shoe. He wanted no part of the half inch wrench and socket I offered since the clamp was not out of range of adjustment.
I worry the act of removing ECU connectors stresses the wiring whose insulation has become stiff and brittle.
But mine bakes on the firewall a few inches over the engine.
Getting all the old grease out so once can see inside the sockets to tighten the spring/clamping arms is not so easy.
Perhaps I should of got the aerosol stuff designed to clean alternators and starter motors rather than the just connectors.
