I store my rv inside the garage so all I do to the generator before storing it is turn a screw on the carburetor which drains the bowl and then I'm done. Used to put Stabil in the gas tank and run the generator enough to make sure it got into the carburetor but upon restarting at a later date, the generator would want to backfire, stumble and run rough for awhile.
