I have one of those and to put it mildly, it sucks on 120 volts. I may rewire for 220 and see what it does.
Three 12 volt batteries hooked in series for 36 volts and a set of jumper cables will work in a pinch. When on a long trip I carry some small rods and my self darkening helmet. Also battery cables to hook the batteries together. I've never had to use it in an emergency but I tried it at home with success.
I would never hook a welder to my eu2000i.
