EXTERIOR STEP HANBDLE REMOVEING?

The handle (left side of entrance door outside) is just yucky after 19 years. Tried cleanser, asetone just not comming clean so thought I sould replace it. How? I am wondering if it is installed at point of construction from the inside. There seems to be no access cover for exterior screws? Any thoughts? I may try painting it?

Then there are covers over the screws that slide/pop off.
  • My handle is just a handle. It does not swing out nor is it lighter
  • The usual swing- outs have screws you can get at. In fact, sometimes you have to tighten them. On ones I have had, the darn foam covering on the handle slides down to the bottom over the years, so that is kind of stupid.

As usual with aluminum RV frames, the screws get so you can't tighten them and have to use fatter screws, which may not be possible where they go through the handle brackets.

Look on Amazon. They show pictures of different handles and where the screws are located.

Which handle do you have? The swing out, or the lighted? The covers over the screws slide off on most.
