Yes most likely. Don't think that there's anything special about the flooring. But be advised that the factory installed laminate may well extend under the cabinets so you'be adding the new squares over the old floor. Not sure if some additional sub floor or barrier should be used? Or, perhaps having to cut out the original laminate to get to the original sub floor.
