- agesilausExplorer IIIYou can use epoxy:
1)Roughen the area around the crack with sandpaper
2)Fill crack with epoxy mix
3)Cover crack area with fiberglass tape (drywall tape) while the epoxy is still wet, push tape into epoxy to wet it, add more as needed. The tape should be flat not shoved into the crack.
4) Let the epoxy set and then coat the area with another layer of epoxy let set for at least 24 hours.
5) Using fine sandpaper (120 or 150 grit) sand that area flat without exposing the fiberglass tape. Paint entire tray with enamel paint. Roughen the rest of the floor first.
Other than that you might try Bondo. - Dog_FolksExplorerWe have used this kit on two different tubs. Works well, easy to apply and inexpensive.
Here is a link: Repair Kit - pbitschuraExplorerAlso, bear in mind that the only structural support under the pan is the drain pipe, which is why it cracked in the first place. If you can, shove some 2x4's and shims under it, if accessable through a hatch door. Then repair as described. If you need to replace the pan, it's fairly simple. Still provide support under the pan.

Good advice. I would replace the pan and give it proper support while it is out. My pan was not supported at all along one side. - BillB800siExplorer@We have Styrofoam under our shower pan.
Happy trails, - SDcampowneroperExplorerI supported my cracked pan using Great Stuff low expansion foam . find it in any building supply. Devcon Plastic Welder epoxy & fiberglass window screen fixed the crack, Rust Oleum acrylic epoxy tub refinish paint made all look like new.
Good Luck! - pbitschuraExplorer

That said, blow in foam would insulate and support. Service down the road might be a problem though.

Good Luck! - Ex-TechExplorerBe sure to drill a small hole at each end of the crack to keep the crack from getting longer.
- 69_AvionExplorerMy fiberglass show pan on my 1969 Avion was cracked. It was very thin and had support on the bottom, but it was too thin. I removed the pan and had it reinforced on the bottom and encased the bottom in fiberglass. I then had it painted with a decent color. It certainly is strong now, and not much heavier than it was originally.
