shower stall floor crack

keystone sprinter shower stall floor has a crack about 2 inches long. is there something we can get at home depot to fix it? also hoping any water that went down that crack isn't damaging the bottom of the trailer.

  • after fixing the crack... match up some spray paint color matched.
spray it on the wet last coat of patch ... the spray paint will melt into the fresh stuff and last a very long time.

i have dont this many times in my apartment business and my color lasted like forever.
  • You may want to think about _why_ it cracked. Mine appears to be from flexing in an unsupported area where the wood floor under it didn't make good contact. I made one of the end holes big enough to shoot a little low-expansion 'Great Stuff' in under it, then sealed it with epoxy.

  • thanks for the input, will see if i can get that waterweld and see if that works, and if not then try the fiberglass repair kit.

    thanks again.
  • I have repaired plastic by heat welding it with a temperature controlled soldering iron.
  • Can't think of the name, but it comes in a tube (water proof putty) cut off a small piece and mash it up, and fill in the crack. I did this to mine two years ago and is still sealed. It cracked from a shower stool leg.
    JB water weld!
  • Yes there are products that will fix that both temporarily and permanently
  • I used a fiberglass repair kit, the kind that uses the fabric that goes into the goo.
  • The way I fixed the crack in mine was to first drill a hole at the end of each side of the crack. This will keep it form expanding. I then used a fiberglass repair kit. I beleive I used two layers of fabric for extra strength. When finished it was not the best looking thing in the camper but it fixed the crack.
