For the converter experts...

Our new to us Landau is equipped with a Magnetek 950 50 amp converter/charger that's showing a fluctuating output ranging from 11.2 volts to 13.5 volts. Cleaning the accumulated crud from the converter chassis and tightening all connections had no effect. Then again, it is a Magnetek, and it is 13 years old, so I'm thinking it has to go. A local specialty vehicle shop has a PowerMax PM4B-45 45 amp 4-stage converter on the shelf I can buy for their cost ($97), or I can buy a PM4B-60 60 amp converter from Best Converter for $159 plus shipping. I'm only running two 12-volt MAXX Marine batteries for coach power, so I'm not sure that the 60 amp unit would offer enough advantage to justify the extra cost. Which way would you go in my situation?
