As an alternative, if one has a 30 amp rig and is willing to do some heavy wiring, I wonder about a Victron or Magnum Energy "hybrid" inverter/converter. These are interesting in the fact that if power goes low, instead of swapping amps for volts, they will pull from the battery bank to make up the difference. Since this is a PSW inverter, anything powered by it will (hopefully) see 120 volts, nothing significantly less.
Of course, there is the issue of the batteries running low as well, so this may not be the best of all worlds, but might be a decent alternative if CG power is spotty, but overall sufficient in voltage.
