- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerMight as well go back to using the ice-man while keeping tabs on the DW.
- RV refers will work the EXACT same whether on LP or 120. What can be a variable is the LINE voltage to the RV. If you are in a CG that has lots of RV's and they are pulling the line voltage DOWN, then the refer will not operate as well on 120. Above 110 volts it will work just as well as LP. The BTU heat output is almost identical on LP and 120. For some reason, people think because it is a HOT flame, that is a better source of heat. NOT SO. Even the flame has to have a spiral baffle to distribute the flame evenly around the boiler tube. Doug
- ivbinconnedExplorer IIMr Wiz. That has been my experience especially with full fridge and hot weather. But now vetting newer rig. Little different controls.
- MrWizardModerator0 is off
1 is the lowest setting aka warmest setting
Gets colder as you go to higher numbers
Most work better on propane, when using the same set position on the temp control - JiminDenverExplorer IIIn some fridges the electric is less efficient than the gas. In a older unit the electric side may be worn.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIWell... All depends on what you call LOWER.. But on my Dometic Coldest is all the way to the right, warmest is all the way to the left..
Theory has it the fridge should work almost exactly the same on both gas and electric since the burner and the electric element are dang near identical BTU wise, less there is a serious electrical issue. And there is but ONE thermostat - ivbinconnedExplorer IIHa ha. Now she's laughing at me. I thought lower the number the lower the temp. ????
- donn0128Explorer IIMakes perfect sense to me. Tou set the thermostat to a lower number its bound to be warmer.
