- jrnymn7ExplorerYou could always press the solids into molds, and make wheel chalks out of them. Or even make your own charcoal briquettes. :)
- mlts22Explorer III'd rather have the system Dometic had in the 1970s and 1980s, which used the exhaust from the MH to incinerate the contents of the black tank.
A device that makes drinkable water from the black tank has to put the solids somewhere... and I'd rather deal with black water than have to dig out solid sewage from some orifice on my RV. - ruppriderExplorerBill could have used the water over the years, to wash the pie off his face. lol
- mockturtleExplorer IIThis item was featured this evening on PBS Lehrer Newshour, including Bill Gates drinking the water.
- jrnymn7ExplorerAs it turned out, I was there for only a few days.
But if you want to hear my personal story about the swine flu scare, I can tell you a factual story that proved my initial predictions that it was all BS. - NaioExplorer II

naio, the idea is to give you the disease in a very small/weakened dose, with the thought that your body will develop/strengthen its own defenses. The belief is, it will not make you sick, but every year, people get sick, or die from vaccinations. And as childhood vaccinations have increased, so have the number of related diseases, so... no thanks.
Usually vaccines use killed viruses.
And yes, if you give anything, even pepsi, to millions of people, someone is going to have a bad reaction. But, before vaccines, 3 out of 5 children died from smallpox alone. The diseases kill far, far more people than bad reactions to vaccines. That is the point.
Nothing is perfectly safe, but some things are more dangerous than others. It all depends on how likely you are to run into hepatitis. If it's highly unlikely, then your best choice is to skip the vaccine. But if you are traveling in certain parts of the world (or working at the sewer plant), the smart move is to get it. - jrnymn7Explorernaio, the idea is to give you the disease in a very small/weakened dose, with the thought that your body will develop/strengthen its own defenses. A few years back, I worked at a water treatment plant. They offered to give us hepatitis shots, in case we came into contact. I asked, 'aren't you essentially asking our permission for you to give us hepatitus'? The answer was yes, so I declined. I was then informed, "if you see some white foam floating about... run like hell!". This was in a wide open field, upwind of town, and next to the Detroit River.
...true story :(
Wait.. you thought a vaccine was giving you hepatitis? Or you thought they were admitting you would be exposed during work?
When I found out there was a vaccine for hep I ran out and got one! I have a friend who has hepatitis; it's no fun. - jrnymn7ExplorerA few years back, I worked at a water treatment plant.
