I liked those bottles because one could easily see how much propane was in them. However, I wondered how well they could bond the metal valve to the fiberglass and ensure it won't leak.
Metal propane bottles are boring, but if the weld is done right, they do the job and do it well for decades, assuming they don't rust out.
