Garmin Coodinate System Change

My Garmin 2450LMT uses coordinates in the Degree/Minute/Second method< is it possible to change to the degree/decimal method?

  • Mike,

Every Garmin I own (6 currently in service) has this capability.
On the 24XX, I recall it is not in the setup. You have to walk in through
Where To?/Categories/Coordinates - - Now you have to use the menu (stacked bars? -iirc) and it will ask Format? That is where you can select DDD MM.MMM (or something like that, I am not near any of them).

Come back if that doesn't get you there.

  • Customizing the Device

    From Main menu:
    >Tools
    >Settings
    >System
    >Units.....—allows you to change the
    units of measure for distance.
  • All of the Garmin units I own allow me to change the format. Just browse thru the various screens looking for the option.
  • I would hope so. My rv model is decimal ( input) by default.
