Question

UPDATE: I got it to light. Try, try again I guess ??

We purchased a used 2010 Skamper Kodiak trailer with a Magic Chef oven. We didn’t get a user manual with it. We cannot get the oven lit. We’ve tried pushing in the pilot light, while holding a flame to the element inside the bottom of the oven. We’vetried multiple times but it won’t light. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

I have the same stove. Turn the oven knob to pilot on. No need to hold the knob in. You can now light the pilot. Be aware that the flame is small and hard to see. If the stove hasn't been used in a while run a couple of burners to get gas in the system. I took me a while to figure mine out as I had no manual either

I've given up using the normal procedure.  I turn on one of the gas stove-top burners to get the gas to flow to the stove, and then turn it off.  I then try to ignite the oven, which often doesn't work.  I have resorted to use a propane torch to warm the ignitor and actually lite the burner.
