Thought 10% of the Capacity (C/20 rating) is recommended for best life.. That means a lot of generator time if you are boondocking on a dark day.. It would be my recommendation for your SOLAR though.. and do not forget the loads as well (Add a bit more for them)
For a single pair of GC-2, Xantrex suggests no more than 30% the c/20 rating (C/20 means capacity over 20 hours by the way). So that would make a 9260 or xx60 (I think it is the 4600 line that replaces the guts in many convertr/power distro panels) the maximum charger... You might wish to consider this one as when you need to crank the fuel burner... Burns less fuel
