Generator cranks over but will not start from remote start

Question

I have a Class A Georgetown 350DS with a Generac 6500 that will not start from the remote switch.  When I push on the remote switch, the switch lights up and the generator cranks over good but the Generator will not start.  After I let off the switch it will stay lit up like it does while the generator is running but the generator is actually not running.  If I turn on the Coaches Engine Motor then hit the same remote start generator switch the Generator will fire up instantly with no issues.   What could be making the generator not start from the switch?

First, have you tried starting it from the switches itself (top of the generator)? That is the first thing to do.
I would then disconnect the connector from the generator to the remote switches. Should be one just outside of the generator itself.

Just like inside if diesel, you will have a pre-heat and start/stop switch.
