Generator runtime compared to inverter run time.

In addition to the fridge, not sure if you have one but, my electric fireplace sucks up a ton of juice if it's on remote control mode. Just having it in that mode even if off will suck my batteries dry in a few hours (well a bit longer but it's the biggest pig if I turn all other obvious 110 systems off).

I would ask the other folks near you and pick their brains.

start the yammys BEFORE it gets hot and you need the a/c
start them and let the converter charge the batteries ,before you try the A/C

Fridge on manual on propane, water heater OFF or on propane

yammy's econ mode OFF, let the engine have some revs
turn on the a/c "fan only" for 5 to 10 minutes
then flip it to low cool
, wait a minute or two..before going to high cool

Fridge will pull 30+ amps from the battery. This is your main culprit for discharging the battery. Need to switch to propane only.

You need four hours of 14.1 volts to be close to full on the battery.

Yes try the air again will ALL breakers off except main & air.

You really needed just 150w to 300w inverter to run the tv especially having just two batteries. You would know immediately when you turned something too big on as a small inverter would just shut down.

Well if you you are running your fridge on auto you are adding a heck of a load as it will see 110 volts when the inverter is on unless you have a transfer switch to take it out of the circuit. Switch it to propane. Not auto.

Unless it is a danfoss type compressor cooler the cooler is definetly sucking up power as well.

How many btu's is the air conditioner?

Running the fridge on auto would add about 3 to 4 hundred watts. Running the water heater on electric would add another 1200 watts.

The air conditioner surge value is often at least twice the run wattage. If it is hot out, mine draws up to 1900 watts when running.

I have two 6volt Trojans, less than one year old.
The fridge is new, this trip. Yes, it was on auto.
We have the 12 volt cooler for overflow. I can't measure DC amp draw.
Each generator has output of around 11-12 amps at 121VAC

The inverter is about four years old.
The converter is OEM in this 07 JAYCO
I tried starting the AC with either and both generators running. The overload tripped.
The tech support from Yamaha said, with nothing else running the AC should start. I turned the converter breaker off, but I may have missed the refr and backup cooler.

I think the best comment is I'm asking too much from too little equipment. I don't understand how solar charger can be so much better. We are in a park with maybe a hundred other no hookup campers and I only hear maybe two other generators.

How many amp-hours is the battery bank? How old are the batteries? How often have they be run "flat"?

I seriously doubt that the batteries are fully charged.

If the fridge and water header are on l.p.
You may have bad batteries

But those 12vdc thermo electric coolers are big power hogs and should be used in a car with the engine running
They are not intended to be run off batteries while camping
Still only 2 hours would only be about 16 amp hours cooler drain
Add you entertainment power use and lighting to that
And a couple of good batteries should last longer
Unless you are using more items on the inverter than you should
