Just because solar wont run the AAC doesn't mean it's not wonderful unless that's the only thing you want it to run. It will reduce the need to run the generator for charging. Even on bad days the generator can start the job and the solar can finish it off.
There have been a few here that have mounted a generator in a compartment. They went thru quite the ordeal dealing with the exhaust and providing ventilation to the generator.
How would I replace 170a? my single 230w panel averages 15a for the better part of the day if the need and sun are there. 15a x 12 is 180a and that doesn't count the early and late times where it sees 10a. Both of my panels (450w)would average 30a together and could handle it by noon.
The generator is only good now for AC and if the sun doesn't show up for days.
