Generator vs solar power
Our 2018 Jayco Hummingbird is wired for solar power. Should we buy a solar generator or skip the solar, park in the shade and by a gas generator? Will it charge our battery so we can turn it off dur...

do you mean of those portable things with a small battery inside and portable solar panel ?
forget that
for solar get roof installed, or several portable panels
get a second battery to wire up with the single one that came with the TT
a 'Fuel powered' generator works day or night in all weather
does not need sunshine
solar on the roof is great for topping off the batteries or keeping them charged while not being used
for the coffee maker the Microwave, blow dryer, and 'rapid battery recharge' you need a generator, and a good converter
or the space and money to invest in a large battery bank,large inverter, very large solar
