Generator vs solar power
Our 2018 Jayco Hummingbird is wired for solar power. Should we buy a solar generator or skip the solar, park in the shade and by a gas generator? Will it charge our battery so we can turn it off dur...

I think the point of 2oldman was - people often have a generator too small to run A/C (or to run it for long enough), and then it serves mostly as a noise-maker that needs fuel and maintenance.
The OP requirements are not clear, to begin with. A short-term stay can be done without any means of charging (i.e. no solar or generator). Just get enough batteries.
