And then there's the mess and stink of gasoline.
There's no way I can be constantly fueling a portable generator without some spillage. Sometimes that spillage lands on your shoes and socks or legs. It definitely lands on the generator.
I have one gas can that, if left in the sun, will spew hot gasoline like a geyser when first opened. Not only that, the gas will continue spitting out of the can like boiling water.
