GFCI outlet moving

In my TT after much searching I located the main GFCI outlet. It is in the entertainment center cabinet behind the TV set. If it trips the TV has to be moved to reset the circuit. Can I simply switch the main outlet with one of the other more accessible outlets in the circuit.

    Is a GFCI circuit breaker available for your box? That may be the easiest fix.

    You could but would lose GFCI protection for all of the receptacles that were downstream of the original GFCI location. The GFCI is usually the first outlet in a branch circuit, being closest to the load center.

    An alternative might be to add in a single gang box, close to the GFCI original location and make that the new GFCI location. The original location can be filled with a standard receptacle.
