I have 2 outlets controlled by the GFCI that are not working and 2 that are. In the kitchen. there are 2 protected outlets, one works and the other doesn't and the outside receptacle does not work.The GFCI receptacle is in the bathroom, seems to test and reset properly - but when reset still have those 2 outlets out.Was thinking about replacing the GFCI but I am not sure, or maybe the non-functioning outlets.Any ideas? Sounds like there is a broken connection to the outlets that aren't working. Most likely at at the last outlet in the chain that is working or the first one that is not working.

I had a regular outlet in my trailer that was somehow connected to another outlet with a gfci, when that outlet quit working it took me a while to figure it out. Once I reset the other gfci outlet it started working again.

I agree with prichardson. Since there is one outlet downstream that is working, the problem isn't with the GFCI outlet, itself. More than likely, one of the two outlets he named will show the problem. It is probably a broken or loose wire that has lost connection, or an outlet, itself, that has broken and lost connection and then can't pass the current on further.

I have only found one GFI in the camper (we just got this camper on Friday). I will look for another one that may be it. Its hard to tell the path, but visually it appears the 2 that don't work are in middle and the end. bathroom (GFI outlet) works ---> external outlet (does not work) ---> kitchen outlet 1 (works) ---> kitchen outlet 2 (does not work)

The outdoor one is normally controlled by an indoor gfci, so those 2 should be connected. Hard to say on path to 2 kitchen outlets. You should be able to find/follow the wiring somewhat, with a bit of searching, and a meter. If the indoor gfi works, the outdoor outlet should too, unless as others mentioned, there is an actual disconnect along the path.Jerry

Pull the outside panel of the fridge and check if it’s another GFCI.

Standard 120-volt AC receptacles have two brass screws are for the line voltage on one side that are jumpered at the factory. The silver screws are for the neutral and are jumpered at the factory.

I can only guess you are meaning one hot wire going to one screw, and a second hot wire going from the second screw to the next outlet and thinking that is “in series”. And that is simply not true. Both hot screws on an outlet are common to each other. As are both neutral screws. So it doesn’t matter whether you use two wires on separate screws, two wires under one screw, or one continuous wire with a bit of insulation removed and the bare wire wrapped around one screw, the outlets would still be electrically wired in parallel.

I had issues with the from CFCI outlet using the backstab instead of using the terminals. Once I changed to the terminals all my problems went away. I then went through the rest of the RV and swapped from backstab to terminals.

Many receptacles are fed from GFCI receptacles feed through function. I would be checking that function on the GFCI receptacle you have found.

Here is the reason I don't like answering 120V questions on the internet. I do not know anything about the OP's skill set.

OP, the place to start is at the post. Unplug the cord so you know there is no power then pull the outlets to inspect the connections.
