Golf car battery recommendations/ best buys in Vegas area?
My natural gas detector is chirping. I know the batteries are on their last legs...Time to start shopping. I have four 12V and want to replace them with four 6V golf cart batteries.

If I kill the 12v power to the rig can I get a sense of what shape the batteries are in with a multi-meter? I remember someone saying something about letting them sit for a few hours or something. ? That would keep the converter from charging them, yes? I'm going to just pull the 12v current now and see if the ones with the solar trickle are in better shape than the other two.
