Got the Drok and an ammeter

Now how do I adjust the pots? Voltage should be easy, just connect it to the power supply unloaded and adjust the voltage pot until a voltmeter reads the desired voltage.

But amps...

The ammeter won't read anything without a load attached. So do I attach it to a load with a higher rated draw than what my intended setting is, then adjust until the ammeter reads the desired amps?

  • This is the model:

    DROK® 600W 12A DC Boost Voltage Converter 12-60V to 12-80V Step-up Power Supply Transformer
  • In about the center, there looks to be two dip switches.
Looks like "in- check" with voltage next to it.
Yes, it looks like a bucking and boosting type regulator.
What is the Drok model number?

It look like a DC Buck/boost, and as such, you are setting an output voltage and a current limit. Set the voltage where you want it and turn the I limit down until it shuts off. Then go back a little.

Sorry, this is essentially a continuation of several earlier threads on the subject of manual battery charging. I probably should have just continued on the previous thread, it would have made more sense. Anyway, you are right, it is a DC buck/boost.

Hmm.. not something I'm intimately familiar with.

What's the unit's current limit? What happens if you exceed that?
