They do work at making it confusing. It says "with Google Maps GPS". That would make me think that it is a GPS, but I think it just allows you to see your position on Google Maps when you play it back on the device you're using. Not real time GPS.
They could label it differently and make it a lot clearer, but I guess that would defeat the whole purpose behind it.
