I've been testing a 220w mono and a 230w poly for a few years now. I thought I had a handle on them until I added the new mono's, and then everything went out the window. Each panel handles different lighting situations uniquely and it was a mistake to generalize the types based on a few panels. The test will be in how the new mono's handle lower light.
It's too bad I'm on the other side of the metro by DIA or I could help you set up the test of the MPPT, maybe even bring a third panel to play with. As it is I'll just wait to find out I turned down a great deal. :)
