Yes it appears to work. I stuck the panels together in series just to see if it would help overcome the shoddy wiring for the test.
Under no load, I was seeing 60V 2A in at the controller and 14.5V 8A out (mostly charged battery). Under a HEAVY (60A) load, it went into boost and I was seeing 42V 7A at the controller and 25A out to the battery according to my clamp on meter.
Once I get proper wiring, and get it set up right I believe it will work just fine!
